Dr. Renee Lerner is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specialized in the treatment and diagnosis of cataracts, glaucoma, and many other diseases of the eye. Dr. Renee Lerner earned her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and with Summa Cum Laude honors. While at Rutgers, she received the Freshman Chemistry Award and Best Pre-Medical Student Award. She then attended the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, followed by 18 months of training in internal medicine.

Dr. Renee Lerner completed a three year ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland Hospital. Dr. Renee Lerner has been in private practice and is a Clinical Instructor at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, a member of the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the Medical Chirurgical Society of Maryland. She is on staff at The Johns Hopkins Hospital Wilmer Eye Institute, Mercy Medical Center, and Bon Secours Hospital. Dr. Renee Lerner received the Allan D. Jensen Part-Time Faculty Teaching Award for 2005 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital Wilmer Eye Institute.



Dr. Brian Lerner specializes in retina and vitreous diseases of the eye. He has practiced ophthalmology and has been board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1986. Dr. Brian Lerner graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland. He received his medical degree and completed a residency program and a research associateship at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine. Dedicated to research, he completed a post-residency fellowship program as a clinical and research fellow at the Wilmer Eye Institute at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions.

Dr. Brian Lerner currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine and as an instructor in ophthalmology at The Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine. Avidly involved in research for more than a decade, Dr. Brian Lerner has participated in numerous medical investigations. His scientific writings have appeared in professional medical publications including The American Journal of Ophthalmology and Archives of Ophthalmology.
